hi guys,
i recently had my letter to confirm i am of low risk for all screening tests. however, i am 1 in 225. which i believe isn’t far out of the high risk category (1:150).
apparently my HCG levels were high, my results were as follows
free beta hcg- 2.8
papp-a 1.07
NT 2.4mm

i am really freaking out as most people i know have had a 1 in thousands chance of DS, so my statistic is very daunting.
i believe my Papp-a result is normal, and my NT is on the slightly higher end of average, it’s that combined with my high HCG level that’s created that statistic, but because we are “low risk” we receive no further testing.

has anybody else had similar results? x

Hi sorry nobody responded to this! I currently have a high NT of 4mm and my HCG is 2.6, I’m worried sick!

Can I ask what the outcome was with your results? X

@hannah202 you might need to @ the OP to see if she'll come back.

I hope your PG ends well, whatever you decide Flowers

I answered the wrong question eek @hannah202

So sorry you're going through this. The next steps would be to wait for either an NIPT or Amniocentesis, and I know how worrying this period is.

While my NT and HCG came back as within range, my PaPP-A alongside age, health conditions, made me high risk. Mine came back all clear, and I'm keeping fingers crossed for you.

The one we were worried about was Edwards Patau, and would still be happy with any other outcome. The EP I heard was the bigger risk to baby.

Keeping everything crossed for you - I know how worrying it is to get the call / update about this - if you read threads further down, there are lots more stories and outcomes which may be reassuring.
