High white blood cells

Hi I'm 10 weeks pregnant had my bloods and urine test bloods came back fine however the midwife said my urine was contaminated and to do another one I done another one and she said there's a high amount of blood cells and have referred me to get a sti check. I've only ever been with my partner and he's been with people before but got tested before me and was all fine. Has anyone had anything similar

Hi similar for me apart from my sti checks were clear (but have been with partner 8 yrs) which were done before we got pregnant as we weee doing ivf anyway I've got symptoms for sti and my urine came back as high white blood cells (over 100) and I've had to do a re-test, there was also blood in my urine so not sure what's going on. Maybe uti but I've been given antibiotics (amoxicillin) and waiting on results for 2nd sample
Could yours be uti ? X

Hi sorry I didn't see your response thank you! I've done a test awaiting results. It could quite possibly be a uti I have always been prone to uti's since I was younger however I think in the second urine sample my midwife would've tested for that x

@absa9999 ah I see - my sample had blood in it so now worried as they've asked me to re test and it's also showing blood - meant to say I have signs for uti not sti

@absa9999 well they said there was no infection on this call but there was on last sample so I'm confused ! And worried for anything serious

It's so strange try not to worry!x

@absa9999 DR called and although doenst know where the blood is coming from said to finish anti biotic and because I have thrush symptoms I have to re test my sample when that clears up
No signs of infection which he said is good
So going to try not to worry! X
