My bloods at my 12 week scan came back as 1 in 3500 for DS. I am only 20 so deemed that to be quite high!
I did research a found a sandal gap between baby boys toes on the ultrasound , although this wasn’t mentioned at my 20 week scan about having any soft markets for Down syndrome. I can’t help but panic.
I went for a 4D scan thinking it would put my mind at risk but definitely didn't.

Some people are not reassured by screening tests. I certainly wasn't. I was anxious and worried right until the baby was in my arms.

No matter what the numbers were, I still worried that I would be that ONE in a million.

Would you consider having a definitive test like an amniocentesis to find out for sure if there are genetic problems with your baby? Would you rather know for certain?

I would not do amino just due to the risks that it carries. But also can't bare the anxiety of not knowing.
I'm constantly comparing ultrasound and googling which definitely doesn't help!

Have you thought about private NIPT. Can be quite expensive but is more accurate than the NHS screening tests
