A low risk for Downs (1 in 900) and Edwards/Patau (1 in 38,000) at the age of 45, would you pay privately for a Harmony test?

The combined test has a 90% accuracy rate, and the NIPT is 99%.

Hi @Beachsidesunset congrats on your pregnancy Smile I was pregnant last year age 44, got low risk in the combined test (1:533) and opted for a private NIPT for peace of mind, because of my age. Really unfortunately the NIPT came back high likelihood of T21 which was then confirmed by amnio. Your odds from the combined are better than mine were, and hopefully all is well for you, but because of my experience I would always opt for NIPT as well xx

Gosh, Milki, I'm so sorry. What a shock for you. I did go for the Harmony (or Vision) in the end - currently on day 3 of waiting for results. Really glad we managed to find the money for it.

Where I I live in the world, they encourage you to have the harmony test when over 35. I would encourage it for peace of mind, if you're worried.
