Booking Appointment

hey 👋🏼

how long should i typically be waiting for my booking appointment?

i initially contracted my community midwives on 29th December, then hadn't heard anything for about 10 days, so called and turns out they lost my details.
I've been in contact with another community midwife, who sent my referral to the local hospital for my appointments and said i should hear back soon.
It's now been almost 2 weeks since my last contact, and still no appointments or contact from the hospital.

I self referred to the midwives when I was 8 weeks due to having to attend EPAS clinic due to bleeding, so wasn't sure if there was a heartbeat or not (thankfully there is). I also have a really short cervix, requiring a cerclage and they found a 3X2cm haematoma in my uterus, near my cervix which has caused some concern, requiring a consultant appointment, but still radio silence.

should i be chasing them up? or is it normal to wait this long to hear about a booking appointment? i'm already 11 weeks, so my 8-10 week bloods etc are late.

thanks everyone x

That’s pretty poor. I’d raise it as a complaint - especially after they already lost your details once. Presumably your “details” are all your personal, contact and medical details written down on a piece of paper? It’s a big deal to “lose” something like this with GDPR nowadays etc. could even be a gross misconduct if someone can’t account for where your details are, twice.
