Hi,

As anyone ever had an echogenic bowel identified on their anomaly scan?

If so, what were the outcomes!

Had testing for CMV and Cystic Fibrosis today.

Thank you x

I have but only a week ago, I had my bloods taken last Tuesday and Friday so might come back slightly before yours. Just wanted to offer solidarity and wait with you...

I spoke to someone in my antenatal group who had in a previous pregnancy and nothing ever came of it. It had faded by a 3rd trimester scan.. so just praying that happens for us too!

I did. I had tests for CMV and CF which came back negative. It was still visible on scans at 34 weeks but my son was born healthy and no cause was ever found.

Hi,

I got my results today, shows none of us are carriers of cystic fibrosis and that I have had a previous infection of CMV but not likely to have been in this pregnancy.

Good luck x

Hi,

I did. Was picked up at my 33 week growth scan. Had an amniocentesis, blood tests for cystic fibrosis genetics and also the CMV infections etc. All came back clear but the Echogenic bowel stayed visible all the way to end of my pregnancy. Had a healthy baby boy in August and he passed his meconium within first 4 hours of being born - nothing has come of it since xx
