Hi all,
I’m almost 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby and had what I thought was my 12 week scan on Monday - I turned out to be 13 weeks.
The baby was really active and it took ages to get an accurate CRL measurement because of this. Unfortunately, the sonographer was unable to complete the NT part of the test so I was asked to return for a rescan today (four days later).
Again, no luck! We tried everything; I was tipped almost upside down, had to jump around in circles, roll over, have a wee and another sonographer was asked to come in and have a go, too. The baby was just not cooperating.
Because of this, I’ve been offered the quad blood test at 16 weeks for Downs which I will take.
My worry is more about Edward’s and Patau’s as I would continue with the pregnancy if I was found to be high risk for Downs. However, obviously the other two are much more severe and now I’m worrying that it’ll be a case of ‘wait and see’.
I’m just looking for some kind words or stories of people in similar situations. I have heard of the Harmony test but don’t know enough about it to decide whether it’s worth the money. Any advice?
Thanks in advance!
