Hi,

Due to having LLETZ done in April for CIN3 pre cancerous cells I need a cervical length scan done. The appointment has been made for next month (I'm only around 9 weeks atm)

Has anyone had it done before? Does it hurt? I am a wimp I even hated the colposcopy and had to be under GA to get the lletz procedure done.

How often will I need it done, will I need a stitch?

This is my second baby and I had no complications the first time round but now I am feel rather anxious.

TIA

I had a cervical length scan. It’s just an ultrasound. The only difference is that the scanner is inserted into the vagina. If you’ve had a penis in there then this isn’t any different. It doesn’t hurt at all. They only do it once and you only need a stitch if they decide your cervix is too short.
