Quad test

At my 12 week scan they couldn't get the measurements needed to do the combined test as baby was not facing the right way, so I've been offered the quad test instead at 15 +5 weeks instead. However, I was also advised by the midwife who did the booking that it's not very accurate and it doesn't test for Edwards or Pataus.. I've had a look and it seems that the false negative and false positive rate for this test is really high. The midwife "reassured us" that if I do get a false positive then I'll be offered the NIPT through the NHS, but obviously I am concerned I'll be in the 20% who get a false negative. I've been told they won't offer me a second scan to do the combined screening, so unless we pay to have the NIPT privately it's the quad test or nothing.

Has anyone else been offered the quad test and had either a false positive or false negative? Or have you found the test to be accurate?
