Any recommendations for the Iona test in the North West? What did you think of the test?

I initially posted this in Pregnancy forum, as I didn't realise there was one for Antenatal Tests. Hopefully it is more appropriate/ I might get more replies by posting in the right place!

I'm hoping to get the Iona test at 10 weeks gestation (currently 7.5 weeks) since it seems to have the fastest turnaround time of the NIPT tests. But I'm not sure where to go - I actually live between Chester and Wrexham but I can't find any providers in those towns. The closest places that do the test seem to be in the Manchester area. Has anyone got any recommendations? I don't mind travelling to Manchester or Liverpool etc if needed.

Also anyone who has had the Iona, I'd appreciate knowing what you thought of it - how long did it take to get your results? Did you decide to pay extra to test for Turners Syndrome, Trisomy X, Klinefelter etc ?

I don’t have a specific location but we used the ThisIsMyClinic and they have locations all across the north (we used the Leeds clinic) They were fab, we paid for the fastest turnaround tests and it was worth every penny!

Thank you @AperolWhore - I'll look them up. If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take you to receive your results?

Just in case anyone is checking old threads, I thought I'd update. After a lot of indecisiveness on my part, in the end I decided to have a Nipt test at My Baby Company in Chorlton, Manchester.

The sonographer Abbie was wonderful, really reassuring and patient waiting for my baby to turn around and show his profile for the photo - as he was determined to face away! She then rang with the Iona results in an amazing 2 days (the official paperwork is sent by email as well). I'm so relieved as I'm 40 and this is my first/likely only baby after years of IUI's and IVF's Grin.

I'm trying not to get too excited till he's here safely but I hope this helps anyone in the same position I was.
