Hi,

I've just received the dreaded call saying I'm high risk for all 3. 1/5 for downs and 1/89 for edwards/pataus.

This is an ivf pregnancy and I am so heartbroken.

I was scanned at 12 weeks 1 day and my NT was 2.7mm. PAPP A is 0.22 mom and hcg is 1.04.

Booked in for nipt tomorrow. The waiting will be agony so just looking for a hand hold. Oh and I'm 33.

@DoctorBambino may i ask what was your result please?

Hi @AshiSaeed my nipt results came back as low risk for downs, edwards and pataus. This is a much more accurate screening test. My papp a is very low and I will have extra growth scans from 28 weeks to monitor the size of the baby.

I have been lurking on these threads for last 2 weeks as I have been waiting for NIPT results, and have found the stories hugely comforting, so thought I’d share mine incase it helps anyone else. Had my 12 week scan and all seemed fine, then got a call later on in the week to say I had come back with a high chance of Down’s Syndrome. 1 in 24. Was very shocked after a very straightforward pregnancy with my first. My NT was 1.6mm, Papp-a 0.2 and HCG 2.58. I am 30. Had to wait 2 weeks for results (the machine broke?!?!) but I heard this morning that I’m now low risk for everything. Sending love and strength to anyone going through this, the last few weeks have been hell.
