Small baby 36 weeks

I'm 36 + 1 today and at a routine appointment today I had a scan to see if my breach baby had turned!

He had, which gave me peace of mind although the sonographer then carried out a growth scan to find he is only weighing an estimate of 3.8lbs - I've now been admitted for a steroids with a c-section in the next 48 hours.

All scans are showing " normal " fluid & blood flow are also very good - sonographers words!

Does anyone have any experience and positive outcomes with this

Xxx

Not exactly the same, but my DS1 was 36 weeks and too small, was given steroids, induced and he was born 4lb...he is now 5 foot 10 and a teenage pain in the bum!

He was small compared to his peers for maybe 6 months but after that you'd never have known he was a small prem baby x

Hi @FOF44

Thank you for replying - I'm just so worried, he's clearly a tiny tot!

The consultant doesn't seem too concerned she just feels as it's close enough to my planned section in 14 days then why wait any longer!

I'm just praying it's a guestimated and he's going to come out healthy & a little heavier x
