Just had my 16 week appointment and the midwife was cheery but concerned to hear the baby has a heart rate of 200bpm. She called a consultant and they recommended an ‘urgent’ scan in the next few days.

Curious to hear if others have had this and what happened? This Is my second pregnancy (DS2) and I have a bad feeling Sad

My DC1 had tachycardia whilst I was pregnant. I did have a detailed heart scan at fetal medicine but I was seeing them for other issues anyway so they just said well we might as well look. I used to have to go and get monitored at the hospital after each midwife appointment, she was very very active so that was deemed to be the cause plus my heart rate.

May be nothing at all, could be a fetal arrhythmia which may need treatment. Sit tight and wait for your scan
