Hi, just wondering if anybody knows how to read the quad test results please? I don't see my midwife until the end of February and I'm not sure what all the numbers etc mean. There's MoM and then Corr.MoM.

What figures constitute as low and high?

Thank you x

1 MoM is the exactly expected value.
0.5 MoM is half the expected value.
2 MoM is twice the expected value.

Can you post the figures?

MummySilver · 27/01/2021 22:14

Thank you, figures are:
AFP 0.69 MoM (Corr.MoM 0.81)
hCG 0.35 MoM (Corr.MoM 0.41)
INHIBIN 0.61 MoM (Corr.MoM 0.7)
UE3 0.59 MoM (Corr.MoM 0.63)

And what was the risk/chance of having an affected baby?

MummySilver · 28/01/2021 20:18

I was at low risk, 1 in 35000 however at our most recent scan our son was found to have bilateral talipes and the doctor is really pushing for the amnio. She can't see any soft markers but she would like me to have it done. She even talked about terminating my baby and went into detail on how they would have to inject through his heart! I have to let them know asap whether or not I want the amnio but I'm so confused.

Hi, please please get in contact with ARC www.arc-uk.org/ to talk through all your options. They are compassionate and knowledgeable. It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to advise you directly but have you discussed NIPT with the midwives at the hospital?
