Hi everyone,
We got 1:32 chance of having a baby with down syndrome at your 12 weeks combined screening. I opted for the amniocentesis after ultrasound showed an impossible CVS because of Placenta position. Meanwhile I did a NIPT test. NIPT came back negative for DS and i refused to go through the amniocentesis but asked for some advise from a genetic counselor. She told us that 1.7 % of the women who fall in the high risk group go on to have a baby with other abnormalities.
Now this 1.7% got into my head and i am considering to do amniocentesis.
Any advice? any similar experience?

Hi I have low risk, and I still consider amino becouse my Harmony test didnt pick up enough baby dna in 18 week and I am stress why, becouse it migh be genetic disorder. It is a hard call,I think if I got result from Harmony now I would belive it but I my risk for T21 is 1-5500 ,your risk is much higher.I dont know what to da aswell.Do you know what wes your fetus fraction, and when did you do the test?how old are you?

Thank you for your massage. My harmony (NIPT) is negative (low risk) for DS. But they say if i would like to be 100 % sure about other chromosomal abnormalities then i need to have Amnio.
