NT of 8mm at 12 week scan, awaiting CVS results..

We recently had our 12 week scan on Monday, all looked ok until they got to the NT measurement which was 8mm, we were transferred straight into another room to meet with a specialist screening midwife who told us that it was a high reading and therefore instead of having the normal combined test we should consider CVS as we would be high risk from the NT anyway and from the NT alone they predicted risk of chromosomal abnormalities as 1 in 3. We met with our consultant on Tuesday for the CVS, he did a quick scan and said he couldn’t see any other issues except the high nt and got on with the CVS. We were told to expect the first results today but having just spoken to the hospital they have now told me that they are unlikely to be back until Tuesday as somehow the lab at Bristol have only just received them. We are both fit and healthy in our mid twenties don’t drink or smoke and have a 20 month old dd who I had a fairly straightforward pregnancy with and other than being paranoid about miscarriage (have had 2 early losses previously) I had naively thought this pregnancy would be the same. Not really sure what I’m after on here but feel like I used up all my strength and patience getting to today to be told we have the same wait again which seems almost unbearable. Looking for anybody else who has experienced such a high NT measurement..

Hey @Ambie93 - I’ve not been in the same position, although our scan did show a higher NT level (4.1). But couldn’t just read without wishing you well and bumping you up so that hopefully someone with a similar experience sees this.
