NT measurement 3.2

Hi - I am anxious and welcome honest thought on whether my anxiety is warranted. I had my 12 week scan at 13 weeks. It is an IVF pregnancy so I am definitely 13+0. The baby measured at 13+5 which they said was ‘okay’. ‘Okay’ doesn’t always sound reassuring. The NT measurement is 3.2 which I know is very borderline. I feel really worried - what can an increased NT mean and shout I be worried about 3.2?

@Stassi have you had your bloods back yet? That will tell you if you are high or low risk.

We are 3.5mm and have had bloods taken for NIPT and I’m anxiously waiting for the results.

@Sussexbysea I have had my bloods done but not got the results.

I have had the NIPT which had come back low risk. I was just worried that the NT measurement could indicate other abnormalities that the NIPT doesn’t search for.

Let me know how your NIPT goes x

@Stassi well that’s great news! You could have the invasive test which is diagnostic.

Is that on your radar?

@Stassi if your midwife wasn’t concerned with 3.2, then I’d be happy with that too.

I think you can be worried for the whole 9 months otherwise

@Sussexbysea I know. This is my first pregnancy and I have been a nervous wreck. The invasive test won’t be offered to me I don’t think as the NT was just under.

When are you expecting your results?

@Stassi and the worry continues once they’re born.

I should get my results next week
