Our baby has tested positive for Trisomy 18 full, I'm 19 weeks pregnant with a little girl.

At our 12 week scan we had a raised Nt of 6mm, then sent for 2 csv at Manchester fetal medicine unit which were unsuccessful, we then had the amniocentesis which came back that she has an extra chromosome.

As you can imagine we are devastated, I was booked in to end the pregnancy but I ran away from the hospital, I'm not really sure where to go from here and just wondering if anyone else is going through something similar xx

My heart goes out to you. This situation is understandably very very confusing and frightening. Have you talked with someone from ARC (antenatal results and choices)? What support and opportunity for discussion is the hospital team giving you?
Not everyone in this situation opts to end the pregnancy. You do have choices, but need to Think very hard and talk them through With the people who matter most to you.
PM me if you want to
Sending love xx

I think I do need to speak with arc my midwife did suggest this, I am really worried that my little one will suffer after reading about Edwards syndrome and as she is certain to die shortly anyway I'm thinking it's not far on anyone to carry on with the pregnancy, but at the same time I don't have the courage to end it. I have my 20 week scan on Thursday so maybe we will know more then, thanks for your reply xx

You are facing one of the most difficult decisions anyone is ever faced with. Two links that might be useful:
