Has anyone had the IONA prenatal screening test?
I'm going private this time (2 other children) and the clinic offer it as part of the package.
I've heard that the older you are it can affect the result and can give a high risk result? Has anyone experience of this test?

I had the IONA test with my twins as part of a research study. I was 35 when I had it. Reason for my test was one twin high NT of 6.1mm at 12w scan and same twin small for gestational age. The risk from the combined test gave my results at 1:14 for the three syndromes. Iona came back very low risk for all 3 syndromes at less than 1:1,000,000. I did have amnio at a much later stage (for more complicated issues) which also came back all clear.
