Wondering what normal protocol is if you’re found to have Rhesus Neg blood during the screening? Has anyone had a phonecall to let them know or does it just come though on the letter?

I got a letter, knew I was O neg but wasn’t on my record.
I’ll have a blood test at 16 weeks to find out if the baby is positive or negative. If positive then anti D at 28 weeks, then post birth I think? Also if you get any bleeding then another jab needed.

Thanks for replying!

Didn’t know my blood type before and had the screening done just over a week ago at my 12 week scan. Had a small bleed at 10 weeks (went to EPU) and dark brown blood the night before my 12 week. Told the midwife at my scan apt about the dark blood and she said not to worry as it would be old and no need to call EPU if it happens, only to call if red or heavy or cramping. Has happened a couple of times since including twice today so phoned EPU for a bit of reassurance and was told I should have reported it all because I’m Rhesus Neg and need an injection.

I know they’re busy and under pressure with everything going on at the moment but I’m slightly annoyed that I wasn’t contacted when my results showed R- when it’s on my record that I was having bleeds 😓

Yep post 12 weeks you should have the anti D jab, I had it last Saturday due to a small bleed. Have you not had a letter through yet? Mine did take a couple of weeks, but I had my blood test at my 8 week booking in.

Nope I haven’t received my letter yet so hoping that’s a good sign and there’s nothing concerning.

Going for my Anti-D in the morning so hopefully everything is all ok!

Hope everything else is going well with your pregnancy 😊 Bleeds are very stressful!

Hi ladies

First time baby.

I’m unsure how the the combined screening works is it accurate ?

I’m 24 and have the following results
1:1770 for trisomy 21 and 1 in 20,000 for 13/18 , would you follow up on this or not?

I’ve had my 20 week scan and all looks and within normal measurements.

Thank you in advance :)
