Thinking of you OPThanksI know it's hard but try and stay strong. I had an amnio a couple of months ago because our baby has a cleft lip and they also couldn't see his stomach bubble on the scan. Well, fast forward two months and after actual minsdiagnosises from a Doctor wrongfully telling us our baby had other major birth defects and a Fetal MRI, our last scan a week ago showed a cleft lip ONLY and a FULL stomach ❤️

I was lucky to have my DH with me during the test, but I promise it'll be over before you know it (takes approx 10 mins, it takes longer to prep the room and materials!) and you'll be able to be together afterwards.

Here if you need to chat x

Can your partner travel with you and just wait for you in the main area of the hospital? Or even outside the hospital? You might want someone with you for the journey home (if you're far away from the hospital) x

I had an amnio 3 years ago. It's not a fun experience but the thought of it and the build up was the worst bit and the actual procedure not too bad. I had to go into London as well ( about a 90 min train trip), was lucky that my oh could come with but as 2020 says you can be together after. Flowers

My other half is unable to come with me because we have a other child no one is allowed to look after her because of the virus also you have to attend antenatal scans alone now

I had a cvs test done last week and the hospital were understanding and let hubby come. He had to come in the side entrance so nobody else saw. I couldn’t have done it alone as terrified of needles.

We were lucky as I’m a teacher so I could send my child to school that day which was stressful as we have been in our isolationbubble
