Hand hold - measuring small

Hi

Posted earlier in the week about my worries.... had an early private scan today.

According to LMP I am 7w 4d but I know I ovulated late so I was thinking 7w 1d.

Abdominal scan couldn't pick up much so had an internal. They measured me at a small 6 weeks plus 1, with a heartbeat. Told me to prepare myself that it might not be good news.

They said to refer to EPU for a scan that can then be followed up, but my EPU won't see me as I'm not bleeding?

Does anyone have any advice for getting into EPU? Or experienced anything similar? I am hoping beyond hope that it'll turn out ok, but I am also realistic.

Thank you

I had a private scan at 7 Weeks +3 from last period, but I know I ovulate early so I thought I was 8weeks. At the private scan which they only did vaginally they didn't say much but sonographer did two measurements and took the larger and that was small for 7 weeks. I had a google and it looked too small for 7 weeks and even worse if 8 weeks.

When I went for my NHS 12 weeks scan, I was (as I suspected) corrected to 13 weeks and everything was fine. Baby is now here, nearly 2 months old.

So what I'm saying is it could be something or nothing. They found a heartbeat that's great. Everything is so tiny as early as you are I don't think the machines at private scan places are brilliant. Having had an early scan at NHS EPU on a different pregnancy they are much more detailed there.

Have they said the measurement? I'm trying to remember as I haven't kept the notes.

I had a private early scan to ease anxiety, but gave me something else to worry about.

I'd take it as a good sign you're not bleeding or in pain. You could go for another scan in a week to see if there's growth ? I know it costs a bit.

Thanks. Really appreciate this.

Will definitely go for another private scan next week if I can't get into EPU. I'd just like to be "in the system" if possible in case something needs sorting.
