Screenings at 9 weeks

Hi just hoping someone may be able to help.

My first baby so not sure I'm reading this correctly but from what I have seen the optimum time for first screenings is 10± weeks.
My first scan letter (dating scan) has come through and I will be approx 9weeks (&5 days).
Would this mean the screenings would not take place as it's before 10 weeks and I would need to then wait till 18 weeks? Should I see if I can move to the following week, or will this be fine?

Thank you in advance for any answers

Ideally you should see your midwife before 10 weeks for routine blood tests (infections, blood group etc), then first scan around 12 weeks.
Next midwife appointment at 16 weeks to review all the results
What info have you given about last period etc?
If you are scanned before 11 weeks you will be offered a rescan a couple of weeks later if you want the screening for Downs, Edwards and Pataus syndromes

Thanks @nanmumandmidwife I have an appointment on Friday to see midwife for booking appointment where I think I will be having blood tests done. Last period was 3rd Nov which I gave them.
I will wait and ask the midwife on Friday then and double check I will be able to have the scan at under 10 weeks and also a rescan for downs etc.

I went for my 12 week scan but my dates were out they said so I was actually 10+5 so I was brought back for a rescan.

It’s not up to your midwife if you have the rescan she had nothing to do with mine.
The sonographer said they couldn’t scan accurately for DS at that gestation so brought me back again.

You could always ring up the number on your scan later and see if you can move your scan so to save having two.

If you have a usual length cycle and you have no major health issues such as type one diabetes, based on your last period on 3rd November, your first trimester scan should be around 25th January.
If it is much different to that you need to, as PP said, ring the scan dept (number will be on the letter) and get them to check. Probably just a clerical error & they will alter appointment.
The midwife won't need to get involved
