Anyone had terrible odds for all 3 trisonomies twice? Need a handhold!

Had my 12 week scan on Friday and got odds of 1/4 for downs, 1/11 for Edwards and Patau. Nuchal fold was 3.0, although his first measurement was 2.2. To be honest I don't trust the sonographer at all and his attitude was awful, I will be complaining to PALs but anyway it was a pretty horrible morning and I ended up having a CVS so should have the results by the end of the week. It wasn't a huge shock, with DS 2 years ago I had odds of 1/11 for downs and 1/13 for Edwards / Patau and also had a CVS, all was fine. Both times it has been the same mixture of a slightly high NT (although higher this time, DS was 2.3), high HGG, low Papp A and my age (am now
38). Basically everything is a little bit worse this time, hence even lower odds. I'm hoping all will be fine again and it's just how my pregnancies work but DH is really struggling this time. Has anyone else had similar results in 2 or more pregnancies? Need some reassurance for what is going to be a long week.

I am sorry that you are going through this again and had a bad experience with the sonographer.

My initial thought is that it sounds like that’s just how your body reacts to pregnancy and you should find it reasonably reassuring that you have had similar results/odds before.

I had 1:72 for Down’s in my current pregnancy after 1:10,000 last time so I felt that massive difference must mean something was different and wrong this time. It wasn’t, thankfully.

I’m sure that, when I was frantically seeking reassurance on MN during my wait for NIPT results, I saw posts from people who said they had had multiple high risk screening results in all of their pregnancies. I hope that someone with a similar experience can come and update you.

I wish you all the best in what I know can be a horrible time.

Thanks @MajorFaffington that's what I hope too. I'll definitely come back and update either way for anyone searching in the future. I'm trying to stay away from trawling the internet this time but I'm not doing very well!
