I’m after some advice or direction. After some troubling news my partner and I have decided to have NIPT for the trisomy (Down syndrome etc.) I know that some nhs hospitals provide the test (which you have to privately pay for). However there seems to be a difference in price. Does anyone have any experience of NIPT and what brand of test did you opt for, I am currently looking at Iona and nifty. My nhs hospital is charging £420, however I know a local private provider is charging £320, am I being stupid going for the cheapest? Does anyone else have any experience (good or bad) of the private provider this is my www.thisismy.co.uk/

There is so much choice out there I would be grateful for anyone’s experience xxx
Thank you!

We paid £500 for Harmony privately at an NHS hospital. That included a viability scan and any necessary retesting if they couldn't get enough DNA in the sample.

I think the tests are broadly similar but www.arc-uk.org is worth a look because they have good explanations about things you should be asking the providers. Good luck OP!
