Confusion about miscarriage

Hi everyone, this is my first post on mumsnet so I’m so sorry if I have posted in the wrong place, i have no idea what i am doing Blush

I am just looking for some advice or to hear other experiences like mine.

I have been been bleeding for about 4 weeks Mainly spotting but with about a week of heavy bleeding & clots (sorry if too much info) I did a pregnancy test at home and it was positive.

Booked in the docs and she took two blood samples from me 48 hours apart to check my hormone levels were increasing, she rang me this morning to say they had gone from 125 to 106 so I had miscarried.

I asked did I need to do anything else maybe get checked in the hospital because in my previous miscarriage I had a d&c to remove anything left. My doctor said no that’s it I don’t need to do anything else, so I am just wondering if that’s normal and worried incase there is anything left over as I know this can sometimes happen in miscarriages

So sorry for what you are going through. This board is pretty quiet. I'd suggest reporting your post and asking for it to be moved to the miscarriage/pregnancy loss board.

Firstly, I'm really sorry you're going through this. Ive has six first trimester losses and only had scans/ follow up appointments to check that all had passed naturally with two of them. Most of the time the doctors (both GP and miscarriage clinic) said to call if I had any concerns and if not to wait for my next period and then try again when we felt ready. Definitely call your doctor if you have any concerns though. X
