Hello all, I guess I'm looking for some reassurance and positive stories, experiences. I'm 6 weeks 3 days today according to NHS. DH and I went for a scan yesterday as I wanted to be reassured that all is good but they could only see a sac. The lady said it's most likely that I'm earlier than thought, more likely to be around 4-5 weeks. I knew I was behind but I was gutted when she said she can only see the sac. Is this normal? I'm going back for another scan in 2 weeks and I keep doing tests Blusheven my very first test 2days post missed period was super strong and the line is getting stronger week on week. Let me know if you've experienced something similar! Staying positive!! Smile

Why do you think you are earlier? How many weeks do you think you are? 6 weeks is very early for a scan

@Jackshouse based on the measurement they said I may be earlier than 6 weeks. I've based it on my last ovulation which was roughly 10 days after my period.

The only reassurance I can give you is I was exactly the same all the way through my pregnancy ... ok my first scan was at 13 weeks but I must have taken multiple tests ( to be sure ) , between each scan i Had a nagging fear that something would be picked up and the baby would have died or an illness of some kind

So lieklyhood is the nurse is right, and if that’s the case it doesn’t get much better ( bar whilst your having a scan 😂😂 ) I didn’t loose sleep over it but I did always have a concern in the back of my mind

I now have a gorgeous lively 17 week old... hold out for the scan and see what happens ... it’s just a bit early ... fingers crossed you get to worry for many more scans to come for this little baby to be x x

I have a 32 day cycle and ovulate on day 23 which put me a week behind my LMP dates. I had a scan at what I thought was 6+3 and saw a sac, yolk but no foetal pole, I went back two weeks later and baby measured 7+3, I'm now 23+2 and my due date from my 12 week scan was dead on what was expected given my ovulation. Have a look at www.yourduedate.com - this was correct for me based on my luteal phase etc.

@Justincase87 congratulations! 😊 My problem is I know when I had my last period but my cycles were a bit all over the shop floor since I've had my coil removed. Based on last month I'm about 5 weeks now. 😊

The scans at such an early time are always a bit strange date wise.
I had a scan with DC at what I thought was 8 weeks but I was measuring at 7, all they could see then was a sac.
We went back 2 weeks later and there they were, measuring just as a predicted!
Try not to worry love, I hope everything goes well on your return.

@Dropitlikeitshot thank you so much and congrats to you!! That's so reassuring to know! 😊
