Pain after group b strep test

I had a test for group b strep this afternoon.

My understanding was that this was a simple painless swap test but it was quite painful and I now have some cramps. Is this normal?

I'm 37+1 and have been having regular Braxton kicks contractions every c.7mins so I am not sure if these sorer cramps are just a fluke and the contractions are just ramping up.

Hi. Phone your midwife and speak to her at 37 weeks it could be labour and nothing to do with the swab.

I've been having regular (albeit not painful) contractions for the past few days. The pain now seems to have subsided which I think is good but I just thought it was strange that such a non-invasive test seemed to have brought the pain on

You could have cervical ectopica brought on by pregnancy.
