Harmony test - quickest results?

Hi All,
I wondered whether anyone who has had Harmony testing in London knows of a place where the blood samples are sent to a lab in the UK, rather than the USA?
The earliest I can have my test is 10 January and I have to have surgery for incompetent cervix on the 24th, so want to make sure I definitely have the results back before then. Lots of places say it takes “up to two weeks” for results, but I’m assuming this is because the blood sample has to go the USA? A UK lab would have a quicker turnaround I’m guessing.
Thanks for your help.

Not sure if this helps, but I had the Panorama test (alternative to Harmony) at The Birth Company in Harley Street. The sample was sent to the EU for testing and we got the result in 8 days.

I am in Ireland and had my Harmony done on a Monday morning and my gp had my results on a Thursday.

I had SAFE test (another NIPT test) which is done via NHS and sent to St George's in Tooting, results took a week but I think you can get them in 3-5 days - maybe check with your hospital if they can do it

I got mine done through the hospital where I live but it was sent to a lab in London. I think it was TDL Pathology. I got mine back in 4 working days but they did say up to 14 days when I had it done.

Serenity was pretty quick, but I think some of it depends on the sample.

I had harmony testing done in Edinburgh at a private clinic and I got the result within a week, I think Thursday to Tuesday. I just assumed that was standard. Blood samples were couriered same day to London and returned to the private GP in the clinic, who then phoned me. Was around £500 two years ago.

I believe all U.K. harmony tests go to TDL who are in the U.K.
My last one was cocked up by my hospital but in my prior pregnancy the results were back in 4 days

Just to add, notwithstanding the above I was told it could take two weeks. So I think that’s just a longer timeframe given to cover all eventualities and to manage expectations and stop people calling after 5 days etc.

I am awaiting results of the SAFE (NIPT) test via St George’s Hosptials, Tooting. I had the blood taken on 21/12/18, late afternoon.
So it’s nearly 2 weeks since the test was done. But there is 3 bank holidays to factor in. I am hoping to hear something by the end of this week. It’s a very anxious time as I was given a high risk (1:20 for DS) following the combined testing- mainly based on a high NT as my bloods seem ok. I am 32 so probs has some factor into it too.

CB86 - did you get your results yet? I did mine (SAFE @ St George's) almost 2 weeks ago thinking it was the quickest option, but am still waiting. Wish I'd paid for Harmony or NIFTY now.

Hello,

Yes, I got my results last week on 07.01.2019.
I phoned the screening clinic at my hospital a fair few times as I felt we were waiting too long compared to the 7 to 10 days we were initially told!
I feel very blessed that the results were luckily very low risk and I have been discharged back to my midwife with no further testing in the pregnancy- apart from the routine appointments.

Hopefully your results will come soon and will all be ok.

I do agree,
IF I ever have another pregnancy I will pay for Harmony testing privately at 10 weeks and opt out of the combind and NT screening at 12 weeks. Not even the screening midwife could explain my high risk result or tell me how it’s all worked out. Makes for a stressful time Confused

Hi. I’m having a really very worrying weekend and really would love someone to advise me.
I had a panorama test done at The Birth Company London on jan 21st. My bloods apparently went off that day to Natera in California. It’s is now eve of 14 days and have not had results. I called everyday last week, and got muddled messages, until Thursday when told I would find out latest Friday (yesterday). I called yesterday and was told that there’s been a delay and only just processing (11 or 12 days after my bloods were taken!!). Last time I went to the same place and had same test & received low risk results within 8 or 9 days. I literally cannot stop having panic attacks about this, that there’s a problem with my baby hence the delayed response. It says 14 days max to get them but most people get about 10 or no later than 12 days. I know no one can give me an answer about whether my baby has abnormalities or not, but I’ve not slept with worry, whilst also singlehandedly looking after my 13 month old boy. Has anyone had or heard of a similar experience with Panorama??

Ps I’m 40.4 years old. So probably in higher risk than most
