How were the results of your downs syndrome etc screening relayed to you?

I had the 12 week scan and blood tests last weds to calculate the risks of down syndrome etc. Then this morning I have received a text informing me of an appointment next Tuesday at hospital that I have no clue what is for. Obviously I'm thinking bad news but is it normal to just recieve an appointment, I've had no phone call or letter in the post and no contact from midwife to explain this. I have tried to enquire at the hospital but am not getting a response from the phone number. Is that the way things are done?

At my hospital (kings) you went back to the waiting room and were told the same day

I was told if it is positive they ring you and tell you earlier and that if it is negative you get the results in the post. I got results in the post.

Is there any way you can contact your GP and see if anything is on your records, would worry me sick not knowing why an appt was organised!

Well I have come home from work to find a letter informing me that my results for all 3 are low risk so now I am really confused as to the appointment but hopefully when I can get through and speak to someone I will find out its nothing to worry about. Pregnancy seems to be nothing but stress and worrying at times!
