CMV & Toxoplasmosis

Still waiting for results from these two tests after our baby was found to have an echogenic bowel. Can anyone who has had these remember how long they took?

I had my blood taken on 22/07/2018 and still haven't heard. Going a bit loopy!

Hey, so you mean the 22nd June? I got tested on a Friday and I had the results on the Tuesday so I don't think it should take that long..maybe they have a back log? Have they given a reason for the delay? I hope they come back clear which I am sure they will x

My toxo tests at GP took about two weeks x

Echogenic foci here - didn't test for toxo but did for CMV. Took a week to get back to us and told us with our CF results. Nurse said no news is good news for CMV as they don't usually bother phoning you unless positive (which is a bit frustrating) Might vary by trust too though.

I had the TORCH test (includes CMV and toxo, amongst others) and results took 2 weeks. Give them a call and chase up. Hope everything is fine, I remember the worry very well

OP sounds like all is well or worst case they have lost them (this happened to me - retest and all was well). Good luck.
