Can spina bifida/anencephaly be picked up on 12 week scan??

I am high risk for SB and anencephaly and have my 12 week scan in 2 weeks. Is it likely to be picked up then if there are any issues or will it probably be the 20 week? It just seems so long to wait

Anencephaly would almost always be picked up at 12 weeks.
Small spina bifida Probably not but large defects would often be especially if there was a lot of contents of the spine in the sac outside.

I'm 13w 1d and had my scan and blood test for hiv last wed. Can anyone tell me roughly how long u waited for results for hiv ECT. I know downs one takes longer.

Anencephaly was picked up at 10 weeks for me. Dh brothers child was diagnosed with spina bifida at 20 weeks. His other brother was born with spina bifida.
