Preeclampsia 37 weeks?

Hi there never posted before so please bare with me if I'm not down with all the lingo

Basically I was taken into the hospital over the weekend due to severe swelling and migraines.
The doctors tested urine and blood both weren't looking great and my blood pressure was very high - and it looked like my kidneys were under a bit of stress.
The next day they diagnosed me with early pre eclampsia.
The doctor did a cervical exam to check how soft the neck of my womb was etc and she could feel the babies head! They sent me home for two night and I'm back in today for more tests

What are the chances of them inducing me ? I'm now 37 + 1 ? Also is there anyway I can prompt them to induce me ? I'm worried sick about my babies health and would rather they just got him out before things get worse ?

Thank you in advance !

Hi I was induced 2 weeks early for the reason you have said, they also did a scan which showed growth had slowed. when induced my little one was perfectly healthy and still 7lbs at 2 weeks early.

I would just explain what you have said above at your appointment, say you are scared and ask if they will induce you, if not ask them to explain why. I would also write down the questions you want to ask I would always be a little swept away in the appointments and forget to ask. When you have him they may want you to stay on hospital for a few days (so pack a bit extra).

Thanks for your response !

I think writing stuff down is a good idea ! I always forget or I get too nervous to ask incase I get judged or something my the doctor

Thanks for your reassurance x

I had my DD at 37 weeks due to pre eclampsia. Although it was worrying at the time she was perfectly healthy.
