Does anyone know what the vp measurement is on a growth scan?

We just had one at 37 weeks and the vp is measuring 5.1mm in the 5%ile not sure if that is good or bad??

Hi, I think it's the posterior ventricle in the brain and looks at brain development.

My friend had one that was above the higher limit and they referred her to fetal medicine, but all was fine!

I'm sure if it indicated something was wrong, they would have told you so please try not to worry! And good luck for the next few weeks when the lo arrives.

As previous poster said VP is the measurement of the posterior ventricle of the brain.
Any measurement below 10mm is normal, whatever the gestation.
Above 10mm can be indicative of an infection or hydrocephalus in the worst instance.
Your measurement is well within the normal range.
The VP is measured at every growth scan as enlargement can manifest itself at any time in your pregnancy.
