Scan at 5 weeks

I have a scan tomorrow but I think I'm only about 5 weeks...what's the chances of them seeing anything? Scared!!

I had one (internal) at 6 weeks and it was very clear - I could make it out immediately without the consultant pointing it out to me. I dont know how much an external one would pick up so early as haven't had one so early. Is this a private scan?

Why do you have a scan booked at 5 weeks? Is it yo check for an ectopic pregnancy? Do you mean 5 weeks since conception ( which, somewhat confusingly, would be called 7 weeks) or 5 weeks since your last period / about 3 weeks since conception? If the former, you should see something; if the latter I don't know if you would.

It's not private. And no not 5 weeks since conception, since my last cycle. They think. But because I never had regular periods it can't be pin pointed how far along I am so it's just a date scan really x
