Can a 28w scan predict gender?

Had our 20w yesterday and all going well, baby very camera shy and legs firmly crossed so sonographer couldn't see gender. Is it something they are willing to check for at 28w? We would love to know before baby arrives.

They may be able to tell you the sex of your baby... but not its gender!
Good luck.

At any point now it's possible to see what you are having but that is all subject to position of the baby. Don't forget nothing is guaranteed though.

I had a private scan at 16 weeks, so yes they will be able to tell.

Old wives' tale is girls are shy and boys show off ;-)

Met a mum postnatally today, told at three separate scans throughout pregnancy that she was having a boy, baby is a girl!!! Nothing is certain until birth!!

Yes, they should be able to tell you at 28 weeks with the same certainty as they would at the 20 week scan if your baby 'shows off'

For all 4 of mine, I've been told at 12 weeks they were boys, and all were right!
