I have just received and appointment for an anaesthetic clinic in the antenatal clinic. I'm 35 weeks pregnant. I'm not planning on a C section or anything like that. I don't have any major complications apart from a heart problem (SVT). I was seeing the consultant about this but he discharged me saying I should be fine in labour. I have given birth 4 times before all normal deliveries and never had one of these appointments. Midwife asked me where I would like the baby and she suggested birth centre. I agreed!
I can't ring till Monday and I'm wondering why I have Been sent this.

Do you have asthma or another similar condition which might affect the choice of anaesthetics used if you needed a c-section? Or to discuss any risks around having an epidural should you need one?

No no asthma or anything that would require me to have an epidural. I've never had an epidural with my other 4, just gas and air
It's got me confused lol
