Hi,

im trying to write an essay on antenatal and postnatal care, and for some reason cannot find how regularly blood tests are carried out during pregnancy. its probably really obvious and im being really dim but I just can't find it anywhere!

If anyone could tell me I'd be so so grateful, thank you :*

NICE guidelines (antenatal) should tell you.

Also there is a booklet called screening tests for you and your baby which has a timeline from the start of pregnancy.

Generally one lot of bloods is taking at booking, 8-12 weeks, which covers everything needed.

Then a second lot of bloods for G&S, FBC are taken at 28 weeks.

Other bloods are as required, so most mums won't have any further testing.
