Very bad bloods (bHcg 3, 34 MoM and Papp-a 0,42 MoM) Any hope?

Hi everyone

I'm new here, but ever since I got my bad prognosis for Downs (1 out of 20), I've been reading a lot on this very helpfull board.

I'm scheduled for CVS on monday (seems like ages), but I'm really worried, because my bloodtest (1. trimester) was right on target for Downs.

bHcg: 3,34 MoM
Papp-a: 0,42 MoM

Nuchal fold and nasal bone was fine and within limits, but still....can one have this bad blood and still be pregnant with a healthy child?

I will be 41 on expected delivery date.

I would be very happy to see some more blood resultats, where both the bHcg were too high and Papp-a too low and here the final results.

It seems like people get bad odds for just, let say, the bHcg is high, but my bloods is just on target for pregnancies with Downs, so I recon my odds is actually worse than 1-20 Sad

Thanks a lot for your help in advance Smile

Ugh!! Just what you need. I'm afraid I don't fully understand what they've said to you either in terms of what has happened.. but I really hope you get that final NEGATIVE result tomorrow!!

At last: My initial results vas all clear! Grin

And we are having another little girl! I'm just so happy, and hopefully the full results will be all clear too.

Thanks a lot for your support, everyone Thanks

How lovely; I'm really pleased for you

Thanks, Gatekeeper.

By thw way, my Papp-a MoM was changed to 0,59.....so that is also kind of a difference from the initial 0, 42, which was calculated first (and with a too smal measurement for fetus, which didn't match our fetus).

Just to clear it up, if anyone in the future tries to Google about this subject Smile
