I'm currently 38 weeks pregnant and my midwife wants to induce me tonight I'm currently in hospital and I'm scared to do it on my own. Me and the babies father spilt when I was 24 weeks pregnant and I moved into temporary accommodation and moved into my own 2 bedroom house on Friday. The babies father has all the baby stuff and my hospital bags at his address due to me moving he did help me on Friday but still haven't got everything into my home. I've tried to contact him to explain what's going on a I need my hospital bags and babies things. He has now blocked me on everything and thinks I'm lying. I'm scared to give birth on my own and what will happen next when the baby arrives considering he has all her belongings and have no way of retrieving them.
the midwife's have also tried to call him but again won't answer.
he was meant to be my birthing partner but I did tell him yesterday because he went out on got drunk and done drugs yet again I didn't want him to be around me or the baby until he is sober. (This is why I'm blocked)

Oh love forget him now just think about your baby. Women have been having babies for longer than we have been packing hospital bags. You can get through this and you’ll have your little one in your arms before you know it Flowers

Do you have any women in your life who you trust? Mum, sister, friend, neighbour - doesn’t matter if you’re super close - just someone who you know is a good person that lives within about a 4 hour drive or knows your area.

If so, call them and tell them what has happened and ask them to be responsible for sorting baby stuff for hospital. They can go to a supermarket, re-buy the urgent bits and bring them to you. Then pickup your key, go to yours and get you some clothes etc for you. It will help if the person has had their own baby, but if not send them a list.

If you don’t, then the hospital will be able to help with urgent bits for baby. And you can order off Amazon for delivery to your new house for the next things that you need.

Ask them to also be responsible for calling your ex and arranging to pick up the baby things once the baby is born so that everything is calmer.

Tell your midwife all this. They will support you and supply stuff you immediately need. Then I would contact the police (or ask the midwife to?) and get your stuff back.
