The Beeches, Derby

Does anyone have experience of The Beeches?
What arrangements are there for the dads?
My DIL is being sent there today with baby. She has had nothing to do with baby for 10 days since she was born. My son is beside himself that he will only see her at visiting times. We live 90 minutes away so hopefully we can find him somewhere to stay closer.
I know mum is going to the best place and she needs to be with baby so no need to tell me that

Hi OP. I used to work at the Beeches a long while ago but many of the staff are still the same. They certainly didn’t have strict visiting times when I was there and dad was able to see the baby at any time (apart from at night to safeguard all the mums on the unit).

The staff I know who still work there are kind and compassionate and will support you all the best they can.
