Hi I am a first time mum (23) I have been diagnosed with postpartum depression & ocd due to labour trauma. My doctor has prescribed sertaline 50mg. She told me about lack of sex drive which is a common side effect. I would like to know if there is anybody who can tell me if they didn’t have this side effect or if they did and if it lasted throughout taking the medication. For context me and my boyfriend are currently going through the “room mate phase” and I’m worried this side effect will drive us further apart, we have an okay sex life and that is probably one of the things that keeps us from actually being just room mates at this point 😭 I’ve never really had a low libido and this is something my friends joke about as they are never ones to initiate things with there partners whereas in my relationships it’s me, I’m just worried now that it’ll cause problems for me and my partner.
