2 months post partum. I'm constantly angry, irritated, sad. I'm short and snappy with my other half and my daughter. I just can't snap out of it. The moments of happiness are brief. I'm miserable.

Im sorry you're having a hard time. I had pnd and it sounds very similar. It's all consuming and takes the joy out of things. I found pandas charity good to talk to as you can WhatsApp them

Yes it is all consuming, that's such a good way to describe it. I'm pushing everyone away. Haven't seen anyone outside the house in a week

When did you last do something for you to recharge? Child free coffee with a friend? A walk? A massage? Yoga class?

As soon as you can start building these things back into your life the better.

PreggersWithBaby2 · 03/01/2025 22:49

I'm declining all offers to meet friends, just don't feel up to it

I did the same. I didn't see anyone for weeks. It was what I needed to do at the time, even though it probably wasn't best. Do you have a close friend you can message to explain how you feel? Maybe they can come see you?

ShineyMoonChild · 05/01/2025 10:26

That's OK, how about a child free walk? Or window shopping on your own?

Can you speak to your GP or health visitor about how you're feeling?

I went on antidepressants for the first time in my life when I had PND that was through my GP. My health visitor referred me for counselling with practically no waiting time.

@PreggersWithBaby2 how are you doing?

PreggersWithBaby2 · 19/01/2025 14:37

I'm so angry all the time. I just can't shake my bad mood. I feel so sorry for my OH, he doesn't know what's wrong with me. Think he's starting to wonder if it's him 😪

@PreggersWithBaby2 can you open up to him and tell him you think you have pnd? Maybe he can then research the best ways to help you. Telling someone is hard but it really can help

Hi op, im hoping you're feeling much better. Im 2m pp today and feel exactly the same. When did things get better?

PreggersWithBaby2 · 16/07/2025 23:28

It got better for a while and now at 8m post partum I'm back in the same zone again, and it is really frustrating me. I spend half the night awake wondering what's wrong with me

Are you sleeping? Have your periods returned?

PreggersWithBaby2 · 16/07/2025 23:35

@4naans sleep is still broken. Baby is still waking for at least one feed and the toddler is also going through a phase of waking at least once a night. 4 night awakenings is normal between the 2 kids and the other half snoring! Yes my periods have returned. I think I've had 3.
