How to request birth notes 1 year PP?

I have recently been diagnosed with post partum PTSD due to birth trauma.

My DS was born by category 1 EMCS. I believe that it shouldn't have been left that long and I was told he would probably need CPR once born. Thankfully he didn't.

After he was born, nobody came to tell me what caused the foetal distress and I didn't find out I had an almost 2L haemorrhage until 4 days later from my community midwife. They also lied about checks they were meant to do on my son throughout the 24 hours before discharge. They didn't, I was awake the whole time and not one person checked on him.

I am seeing a psychologist for the PTSD but I feel like I need to know what and why things happened for me to move on. How do I request my birth notes and is it possible a year later?
