Hi all!

I had my little girl 9 weeks ago via emergency c section and now I'm almost healed (incision scar infected twice and I think I have sciatica) I'm wanting to start working on myself.

I put on a lot of weight in pregnancy and my diet wasn't great towards the end so I'm wanting to get back to my pre pregnancy weight but given the c section I have the dreaded overhang.. it isn't much but enough to see if I'm wearing a tighter top, i've read it's near enough impossible to get rid of but does anyone have any success stories?

I don't even know where to start, I can't afford a gym membership on maternity wage so what do I do 😭

First thing you do @OliviaL9530 is to give yourself a break. You've been through so much, PG, Labour, Birth and the very tiring Newborn Stage. On top of that you've had massive hormone changes. Thanks

I'd start very small. Things like swapping one lot of biscuits or cake for a banana and aim to take baby out for a walk each day.

Once you've done that for a few days, try a workout aimed at Mums who've had a section like this one and see if you feel any better afterwards abs maybe plan a couple of healthy lunches like some homemade soup.

If you want any company there might be Buggy Fit nearby or if you go on the Mush app there might be some local Mums who'd go on a walk with you.

Basically, don't overwhelm yourself. Do some gradual steps and keep it simple Smile

@BunnyRuddington

Thank you so much! That's great advice, all I can do currently is walk as I've pulled my lower back 🙄😂

Ive switched up my diet and we go for a walk every day, I've never heard of those apps! Thank you, that would be great. My family live away and when my husband is at work they're long days spent alone so it'd be great meeting some new people xx
