Feeling severely depressed and lonely!!

Hi ladies,

Just like that. I feel so lonely, isolated and depressed currently 17+ weeks pregnant and have 2 boys 8 & 2. I have my family live near by but we're not in good relationship? Also no close friends.

Most days I find myself really down and feel guilty for not taking kids to activities (unless shopping) mostly because I don't want to be alone with no adults company!

Would love to meet some mums from preferably with similar age group kids!

I live in Islington N1 areas xxx

Hi there,

I don't live anywhere near you but I didn't want to just read and ignore. Just wanted to say I hope you start to feel better and know that this time will pass. I've gone through the same thing - pregnancy can be incredibly isolating. But it will pass, especially once your hormones settle down, and you will eventually feel like yourself again - you'll look back and see how strong you were.
Take care!

@bellaosmann I'm not near to you either, abs my DC are older now.

I was just wondering how you're getting on now?

Are things getting any better since school has started again?

Do you think it might help to try a couple of the local groups with your 2yo? Just don't expect to make friends on the first visit, it can take time Thanks

I don't live near you either but just wanted to say I've felt the same. Currently 20 weeks pregnant with a 2 year old.

On antidepressants for my anxiety/ mild depression and they are definitely helping but I do struggle to get out and about and feel guilty for it.

I do have a lot of people through my partner that I can go out with which is great (when I manage to get myself out).

Have you had a look on Facebook groups for local mums? Usually a good place to meet mums local to you.
