Feeding Newborn with Mucus

Hi all,

I had my son 2 days ago and due to being very mucusy (I pushed him out quickly) he is a very sicky baby. He is sick after every feed, so still hungry.
How long will this take to clear? Any tips?

Mucus cleared from mine mostly by day 3. Some babies do sick up more than others. Can he lie on you on his front to help bring it up, in icu they put monitors on baby and lie them on tummy as it helps get the mucus out. Is he bf or bottle?
