I am being forced to switch from UCLH to Whittington and then to top it off they’ve given me a date for c section which I absolutely didn’t want ( same day as grandma passed away) and having great difficulty changing it. I didn’t want to go private but feel so anxious about all the stress of having to try and change hospitals and also the date!
Does anyone have any info of their experience at Lindo wing, as previously postnatal was really not great, but I want to make sure there is help in the night to help with changing the baby, and also general review by a breastfeeding nurse and lactation consultant. I would be giving birth on a Friday and therefore would be postnatal at the weekend. I’ve read some horror stories that the buzzer goes off all night and you can’t get hold of anyone to give you pain relief/ or help you with anything. Then I’ve also read that they have inexperienced HCAs rather than midwives!
Any feedback of recent experience would be so useful!
