Long story short - this has been mentioned to me on and off since I had my son 7 years ago. Overwhelming anxiety and panic attacks are the issue. I’m anxious every day, but I can mostly manage it except on very bad days. It’s always there niggling, but I can manage it mostly.
For many reasons over the past 7 years I have declined to take it and tried and tried to push through myself. However, in light of current circumstances, I am now an already anxious person, with the additional anxiety that everyone else feels right now on top. So my scale is suddenly extremely unbalanced and I’m struggling. Meds have been mentioned again and given that the current situation is likely going to be a long term situation, I’m wondering if now has to be the time to try. Otherwise I just don’t see how I’m going to dig myself out my hole this time.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I actually really rate Sertraline, which got me out of a depressive rut until I felt able to function without it. I started on 50mg and went to 100mg. Honestly, it just calmed down my hyper anxiety and made me more level headed. I will say though, with any anti depressant or anxiety medication, you have to understand that it is a commitment, you can't take it one day and then off the next. I hope you feel better soon x
