Anybody on this or taken this? I am on my first day after probably 4yrs of ignoring my declining
mental health. Rather ashamed to have ignored myself for so long.

I'm breastfeeding also so I'm hoping it doesn't effect anything there.

Just looking for any experience so I know what to expect and look out for.

Well done for taking action I know how hard that can be.
I am on this antidepressant and also breastfeeding and had no problems at all :)
It only took a few weeks for my mood to lift and tbh I thought oh maybe things are just getting easier and it's a coincidence it's coincided with my starting the tablets but I haven't taken them for 4 days due to forgetting mostly and having a sick bug and I really so low today. I haven't felt this bad since I started taking them back in August so I definitely think they work and will be back to taking them tomorrow! Good luck with everything x

That is so reassuring thank you. I hope you feel a bit better once you get a couple of days back on it.

What was your worst symptoms? Mine is rage and sadness it'd such a horrible mix.

Yes like you I get very frustrated easily and feel just hopeless and sad and I couldn't see a way of making myself feel better, even if I had 'something to look forward to'. I was just going through the motions of life with no enjoyment, my only task was to get to the end of the day. But other than the last few days I have been feeling a lot better although I do still get very frustrated and anxious about things that are out of my control. Have you started taking the tablets yet? X

BingisaweeArse · 26/02/2019 14:30

Yeah that's me a week in feeling nothing as of yet but no nasty side effects so that's a plus.

That's exactly how I'm living pretty much just getting through the day it's dreadful. I'm not a pity party though I do try to do things but like you I don't feel any real enjoyment but still I go through the motions. I know compared to others that's good.

Hope you are feeling a bit better after your illness.

I do the same go out everyday and meet people but I almost feel worse after because I know I should be enjoying my time but haven't. But saying that since taking the tablets I have found more enjoyment in life again. I'm just going through a big change again atm with my LG starting nursery and I'm going back to work after a year off on Tuesday so I think anxiety has built up and made me feel low again. Hopefully when life settles my mood will improve. I'm only on the lowest dose 10mg so if I continue to feel down I may go back to the doctors and ask to go up. I do hope you start to feel better soon, it's an awful thing to go through and can be so lonely so I'm always here if you want a chat x

Hi how has the return to work gone @popsadaisy

I feel worse tbh and don't feel pills are doing anything and that's 4 weeks in 2 days I take them religiously at practically the same time every morning hoping to feel normal. Nada lol.

Did you request to up your dose? How has your wee one settled at nursery?

Hi,
Sorry you are feeling worse :( maybe you should go back and see if they can up your dose? Work has actually been good, it's been nice to feel a bit normal again! And my LG seems to really enjoy nursery which is a massive weight off my mind. I've been feeling better so I didn't go back to the doctors. How old is your LO? Do you just have the one?

BingisaweeArse · 20/03/2019 09:30

I have two 4 and 15 months they are great kids tbh pretty easy to look after so I'm lucky.

So pleased everything has fallen into place nicely and it is nice to get some you time even if it's work lol.

I was thinking that then thinking it's only coming up to 5 weeks but thinking maybe too soon but I do feel like I'm drowning so might as well talk to someone eh. Wish me luck hah.

What dose have you been given?

bingisaweearse · 20/03/2019 11:42

10mg so pretty low dose

Good luck and let me know how you get on! Nobody should have to feel like they're drowning and that is a low dose so might just need making a little higher also I think it can get up to 6 weeks to get into your system so don't give up hope. Always here if you want a chat xxx

chuffnstuff · 20/03/2019 12:19

Agree. Ask the doctor for 20mg instead. It's quite normal to increase if you don't feel any positive effects within 4-6 weeks.
